I was at work (in a supermarket) and an announcement was made over the tannoy that a terrorist attack had just taken place in the US. I went to the staff room and watched the news with other staff - we watched the coverage of the planes hitting the towers, I felt very odd - it was kind of unreal. It was very eerie and back on the shop floor people were going home and just asking "why".
