Omagh bomb
On the day the omagh bomb went off in northern ireland I was round about 12 or 13 and I was shopping in my own home town in Ballymena with my best friend who had come up through playgroup and primary school with me and who was then in secondary school with me as well. I can remember being in Eason's in the town that Saturday afternoon and I remember thinking afterwards that if the bomb had been in Ballymena instead of Omagh we could have been caught up in it.
